Chicago
I get asked a lot how I got into photography. I specifically remember getting a purple Barbie camera for my birthday when I was in 5th grade. I remember putting a roll of film in the camera and taking my little sister outside making her pose for me. I still have that picture of her looking so cute staring off into the distance. I think for me that is where my love for photography all started.
When I graduated high school I bought my first DSLR camera with money someone had gifted me and I decide to pursue what I love and just see what would happen. I began to take pictures of all of my friends and anyone who would let me. We would put together outfits and go out and shoot for hours. I really am lucky to have friends that have trusted my vision and supported me. I owe a lot of my growth as a photographer to them (you know who you are 🙂 ).
This past week my friend Alison and I went up to Chicago and did just that. It was second nature to us because we have done stuff like this so many times before.
After a full day of just shooting for fun I was reminded why I love that this is my job. Every other worry went away and I just did what I love.
Every session I book I get this same feeling. I feel truly blessed to have been able to work with people who love what I do and trust my vision.
So here are some of my favorite pictures from our adventure. Thanks for following along!
