Grady and Amy were such a fun couple to photograph. As a photographer, my passion is to capture the love that my couples have for one another. They made this easy! It’s so fun to be able to adventure out into the desert and just have fun while taking some photos.
Adventure is a big part of what I like to do, because I love to capture beautiful landscapes behind my beautiful couples! I think it also helps to make everyone feel a little bit more adventurous, which leads to some fun candid moments. (I mean, come on, they laid on the desert sand!!)
I love how they just went for it- not worried about the sand or the cacti (not to mention snakes or scorpions). They were in for the adventure!

Man, I loved the colors Grady and Amy wore and how they contrasted against the browns of the desert. The casual outfits were a nice change of pace as well, because it proves that great portraits do not necessarily need to be dressed up or fancy. In my opinion, as long as you are having fun, great photos are easy to capture.
In all, this session was a blast. Photography is so much more fun when you let loose and let your significant other love on you and make you laugh. I think it’s so apparent in the pictures as well! How much more will you love looking back at some in the moment pictures like these rather than a staged backdrop photo? The superstition mountains were the perfect backdrop for these photos as well, I’m so glad to live in such a gorgeous place!
